The 2023 World Scholars Youth Program saw our return to familiar territory in Toronto Canada.
The 2023 World Scholars Youth Program (TWSYP23) was a transformative experience for 110 participating students from the International Islamic Boarding School, International Islamic Secondary School, and International Islamic High School Republic of Indonesia. This five-week program, hosted by our esteemed education partner, Braemar College, took place during the months of July and August 2023. It aimed to provide students with a unique and immersive education experience, allowing them to gain valuable insights into studying abroad.
One of the distinctive features of TWSYP23 was its project-based educational approach. This approach allowed students to dive deep into their subjects, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Moreover, it encouraged collaboration among the students, who hailed from different corners of the globe. This cross-cultural interaction was an integral part of the program, promoting not only expanded networking but also a richer understanding of the world's diverse cultures.
„More than 50% of TWSYP graduating students go on to undertake undergraduate degree programs abroad.”
As part of their educational journey, students had the opportunity to participate in various class activities and engage in hands-on learning experiences. These activities were designed to stimulate intellectual growth and provide a well-rounded education. Whether delving into English as a second language, mathematics, science, art, technology, or sports, TWSYP23 offered a comprehensive curriculum to cater to the diverse interests and needs of its participants.
Beyond the classroom, the program also included exciting excursions to historic and natural landmarks, including the iconic Niagara Falls. These excursions were not just about sightseeing; they were an integral part of the program's philosophy. They allowed students to broaden their horizons, appreciate the beauty of the world, and gain a deeper understanding of the history and geography of the places they visited.
Accommodation played a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and safety of the participating students. CampusOne, our trusted partner in student housing, provided fully catered accommodation services. Located in downtown Toronto, adjacent to the University of Toronto campus, CampusOne offered students the unique experience of living in university student residences. This environment allowed them to immerse themselves in campus life, interact with peers from diverse backgrounds, and truly experience the essence of international education.
