History of our programs

Lumiere International has been operating its international education programs around the world for more than 7 years and has continued post COVID with the launch of its exclusive World Scholars Youth Program.
  • May 2015Lumiere International Founded

Bringing their skills, knowledge and experiences together, the founders of Lumiere International Indah and Robert set about creating the Australian Company and their network of global partnerships.
  • September 2015San Diego, United States of America

Lumiere International hosted their first program in partnership with the University of California San Diego (UCSD). With over 200 participating students from Indonesia, who joined the program which embedded an extensive English as a Second Language course hosted at the University and a number of really exciting excursions which included Disneyland, Universal Studios and Seaworld
  • September 2016Sydney, Australia

Lumiere International's second program moved home to Australia having established a strategic partnership with the NSW Department of Education. Bringing more than 180 Indonesian students to Sydney to study English and Cultural studies through an outstanding immersion program alongside Australian students in their public school environments.
  • Jan 2019COVID19 Global Pandemic Hit

From the beginning of 2019 our entire world was hit by the emerging COVID19 pandemic. This resulted in national and international travel bans from most countries around the world, which had a severe impact on the International Education institutions and students. Many programs were cancelled and many students were forced to return to their countries of origin.
  • June 2021World Travel Bans Started Lifting

Around the middle of 2021 we started to see the international travel bans from many countries beginning to lift. There were still many very stringent travel requirements in place in order for travel permits to be approved, these included proof of vaccination, negative PCR tests prior to departure and in some cases on arrival. With these events the International Education Industry began to kick back into gear as many countries looked to find quick ways to bolster their enormous budget deficits and kick start their post-pandemic economic crisis recovery.
  • October 2021San Diego, United States of America

With renewed vigour Lumiere International restarted their international education programs with the launch of the inaugural World Scholars Youth Program 2021. This time returning to their familiar home of California, however the English as a Second Language tuition programs was to be delivered by their new partner San Diego State University (SDSU). As this was the first post-pandemic program to be run we saw a reduction in the numbers with only 70 participating students from Indonesia. The program was a huge success which gave our team and our clients a massive boost in confidence that we, Lumiere International and our strategic education partners around the world were ready to return to our pre-COVID operating levels.
  • July 2022Toronto, Canada

Lumiere International's second World Scholars Youth Program 2022 found it's home in the city of Toronto Canada. Through and amazing partnership with Braemer College on the University of Toronto Campus, we had 110 participating students from Indonesia excitedly join us. The learning program provided by Braemer College was second to none and included a number of wonderful extra curricular activities including; cooking, podcasting and newspaper classes to name a few.
